94. Saying Goodbye to Instagram

LISTEN HERE

I never thought I'd leave Instagram, yet here I am in shambles over one of the longest and most consistent "relationships" I've ever had.

Instagram has served as a learning tool for me- practicing self expression, sharing deep and meaningful stories, meeting like-minded people who I now call some of my bestest friends.. and I'm throwing in the towel. There are many things I am grateful for when it comes to this digital space, and it has come to a point where the bad outweighs the good. I love content creation and will still continue to train/coach, create youtube videos, share this podcast, and create my weekly newsletter- but my energy and obsession with IG must be retracted and directed into more intentional areas of my life. I have been dealing with the unnerving feeling of "being apart of the problem"; no matter who we are, posting content on this app is continuing to feed a toxic pond. The fish look pretty from above, but fall in and you may not come back up for air.

This episode allows me to share a host of reasons why I'm saying goodbye to Instagram on July 1st for the foreseeable future. It's been fun!

Thank you to all of you who have connected with me on that space, I hope to see you in my email inbox, website, coaching, podcast, youtube comments, etc etc...

rest in peace to my IG identity!
